Vietnam- Anticipation and EXcitment in the Airport

It's my first time here at JFK Airport I believe. Well, maybe not, I'm not sure. We have been waiting for a while, playing card games and anticipating the long plane ride that awaits us. I'm feeling excited still, but also quite anxious. I can't exactly say why, but I am very tired, so I'm very excited to sleep.
Something that is really messing with my head is all the time changes. I am not sure what time we will land in Hong Kong, where we have a 3-hour layover, but I know it is bound to feel quite strange. I was thinking earlier about whether or not I would be able to cross China off my list of visited countries. Does just visiting an airport in a country count?
I hope to board this flight and sleep through most of it, teach myself a few Vietnamese phrases, and maybe watch a movie or two. I also hope that there isn't much turbulence and that the flight goes smoothly. Hopefully, I can check in again when we arrive in Hong Kong!
